In analytical texts, the author does not want to change the reader's perspective or mindset to agree with the author's opinion, but only to express the author's personal opinion. The function of this text is more towards convincing the readers that the topics raised are important things that can be debated or discussed together.

The Structure :

Thesis, contains main idea, background and remarks located at the beginning of the text.
Arguments, contains the author's opinion on an issue with arguments and data that strengthens the author's opinion
Reorientation, contains the reaffirmation of the author's position and opinion on the main topic. Can also contain conclusions from the text

The characteristic :
1.Use simple present tense
2. Use words that can express the author
3. Use internal conjunction
4. Use casual conjunction (reason-why)

Hortatory exposition is a text that contains the opinion of the author in the form of arguments to influence the readers to follow the opinion of the author. So, in a hortatory exposition, the author places more emphasis on changing the reader's mindset, it's like 'do this or don't do that or should be like this instead of that'
