Hortatory Exposition
What is hortatory exposition? Hortatory exposition is a text that contains the opinion of the author in the form of arguments to influence the readers to follow the opinion of the author. So, in a hortatory exposition, the author places more emphasis on changing the reader's mindset, it's like 'do this or don't do that or should be like this instead of that'. This is the difference between Hortatory Exposition and Analytical Exposition. In analytical exposition, it just expresses the author's opinion.
The Structure :
Thesis, contains main idea, background and remarks located at the beginning of the text.
Arguments, contains the author's opinion on an issue with arguments and data that strengthens the author's opinion
Recommendation, contains invitation or recommendations
The Characteristic :
Use simple present tense
Use temporal connectives
Use evaluative words
Contains recommendation

Are Electric Cars Better Than Gasoline Cars?
Lately, in Indonesia, electric cars become a great innovation. Electric cars go on sale in Indonesia, but that raises a lot of questions about the car. Does it better than gasoline cars to reduce the pollution? while Indonesia the majority still uses coal as fuel for power generation.
First, i think electric cars still better than gasoline. So, gasoline cars emit pollution when used. Not with electric cars. So, we don't create any more pollution in the environment we live in. Although the majority of us still use coal to generate electricity, at least just one area. In the process of distributing fuel, electricity is much more efficient. If the gasoline fuel requires trucks to distribute the gasoline and the trucks also need diesel to distribute it. electricity only needs an electrical conductor such as a cable that is connected to where we live. With that we don't need additional costs for distribution and much faster.
Second, the price of electricity much cheaper than gasoline. So, we can save expenses.
Third, ease of use. So, we are getting easier to use the car for everyday. because, just charge the car when it's parked, when we need it we can immediately go with a full battery.
Last, cheap taxes on electric cars. The government has started to support electric vehicles by providing cheap taxes for electric cars
So? Shouldn't we start to use electric vehicles for daily mobility? Especially for in the city.
